Cultural shocks



Recently visited Singapore and had a new set of cultural shocks


  • Smoching / Kissing / Hugging tightly in Public (local MRT trains)


  • Smoching / Kissing / Hugging tightly in public (local MRT trains) by very young students


  • People riding cycles in the walking area (platform) in between the walker's hips and slips


  • People standing in long queque to collect the morning free newspaper...and the feeling pride after getting the paper as if collecting the Olympics gold medal


  • The mad rush in the MRT trains in Dhobi guat right from 6.30 AM even on saturdays


  • Little india in singapore looks like erode/pondicherry


  • Lots of rubbish and not so clean singapore roads


  • Houses having seperate room with iron shelters - to protect from earthquakes,wars etc...this small iron doored room is for safety purpose
